Meaning per category - G
These signs indicate the beginning or end of certain areas, roads or paths. In these areas and on these roads or paths there sometimes are additional admission requirements or other extra rules that apply, or they are meant for specific road users.

G-1 - Motorway; speed limit of 130 km/h

G-2 - End of motorway

G-3 - Autoweg; speed limit of 100 km/h

G-4 - End of autoweg

G-5 - Erf; speed limit of 15 km/h

G-6 - End erf

G-7 - Footpath

G-8 - End of footpath

G-9 - Bridle path

G-10 - End of bridle path

G-11 - Mandatory cycle path

G-12 - End of mandatory cycle path

G-12A - Mandatory cycle/moped path

G-12B - End of mandatory cycle/moped path

G-13 - Non-mandatory cycle path

G-14 - End of non-mandatory cycle path
There are a few differences between the mandatory cycle path (sign G-11) and the non-mandatory cycle path (G-13):
- If a mandatory cycle path is present, cyclists and snorfietsers are not allowed to use the carriageway. They must ride on the cycle path.
- If there is a non-mandatory present, cyclists may choose between the cycle path and carriageway.
- Snorfietsers may only use a non-mandatory when they have turned off their combustion engine. An electric engine is allowed to be turned on.
A few signs in this category can also be executed as zone signs. These signs apply until the end zone sign.
