Meaning per category – D
These signs indicate which direction you are required to follow or on which side you may or must ride past the sign.
The following signs apply to all drivers unless otherwise stated on a sign:

D-1
Roundabout, mandatory direction of travel. You can find this on a roundabout and indicates that you must ride counterclockwise on the roundabout.

D-2
It is mandatory to pass this sign on the right. The arrow can also indicate the left side.

D-3
You are allowed to pass this sign on both sides. This sign is usually placed on a centre guide (traffic island or obstacle between two lanes).
The following signs indicate a mandatory direction of travel, without indicating a one-way street. They can indicate all directions (left, right, straight on and combinations of these).

Lastly, this category includes signs that are especially intended for cyclists (and therefore also snorfietsers) or moped riders (and therefore also drivers of speed pedelecs). They are placed at places where these drivers must enter or alternatively exit, the carriageway and enter the cycle/moped path.
