Usage requirements
If you are going to drive your vehicle (with or without a trailer), you must keep to the usage requirements. These are rules that indicate how you may use the vehicle. The most important rules are:
- Towing
With a two-wheeled vehicle, you are not allowed to tow another two-wheeled vehicle. You are also not allowed to be towed, not even by a vehicle with more wheels. - Hindrance
While riding, you are not allowed to be obstructed by passengers or load. For example, luggage may not hinder you while steering. Load must always be properly secured, so that it cannot shift while accelerating, braking and steering. The stability of the vehicle may also not be reduced due to the load. - Sufficient visibility
You must always have sufficient visibility to the front and sides. You must also always have sufficient view on the road sections beside and behind you via the mirrors. A passenger or load should also never obstruct visibility, nor cause the number plate or lights to be less visible. - Number plate on the trailer
A trailer behind your vehicle must always be provided with a white number plate with the same vehicle registration number as your vehicle.

- Recognition brommobiel
A brommobiel must always be easily identifiable. Therefore, a round sign with a red edge and the number 45 on it must always be present on the rear of the brommobiel.
